  1. What areas of the body can be treated?

You can treat face, décolleté, double chin, scalp, hands & arms. Other areas that         can be treated are legs, knee pads, inner thigh bulge, back, abdomen, stomach, buttocks, saddle bags and love handles.

  1. What conditions can be treated?

Although Mesotherapy is used to treat a broad spectrum of injuries, illnesses and medical conditions, it is also employed to treat cosmetic conditions, including acne, wrinkles, expression lines, cellulite, stretch marks and scars. It can also be used to reduce and contour fat.

  1. What type of patients are suitable?

Generally as a rule, adults between ages of 18-80, however each patient must be assessed individually to determine whether the exclusion criteria apply for the treatment they wish to receive.

  1. What type of patient would be unsuitable?

Patients with the following conditions should be excluded: Pregnancy, Cancer or in remission, AIDS patients with coronary artery heart disease or heart dysfunction, with arrhythmias, a history of blood clots or strokes. Patients with autoimmune diseases or organ transplant recipients, patients who are on anticoagulants, insulin dependent diabetics, or with skin conditions such as herpes & psoriasis.

  1. How quickly will patients see results?

The speed of the results depends on extent of the condition and the area being treated. Rejuvenation procedures show visible results within 1 – 2 days following treatment. Eye fat bags will usually show improvement after 1-2 treatments and cellulite can vary from 2-4 treatments

  1. Are the treatment painful, is there recovery time?

The majority of patients only experience minimal discomfort; however for patients that has discomfort, a topical anaesthetic can be applied to take away this sensation. There is no downtime with this procedure and patient can return to regular activities straight away.

  1. Are there any side effects?

A common side effect of Mesotherapy is bruising, which generally resolves after a week. It is best to avoid contact with the sun directly after treatment as this may produce pigmentation

  1. What are benefits of Mesotherapy over liposuction?

Liposuction does not treat cellulite. In fact, liposuction often causes existing cellulite to appear more prominent. Mesotherapy treats cellulite directly, promoting smoother skin and reducing fat in selected areas. Fat deposits are flushed from the body, and do not reappear in other areas, which often occurs after liposuction. Mesotherapy does not require hospitalisation, general anaesthetic or downtime.
