Lesson 1 – Eyeshadows

  • Hello my dear colleagues, please welcome to my online course “EYESHADOWS”

Modern permanent makeup industry offers a great variety of eyeshadow techniques, from the simplest to the most complex, using one or several colors.

1. Perhaps the most popular among the master’s eyeliner PMU is the combination of eyeshadow and eyeliner.

There are two big advantages of this PMU style: first of all, it is an outstanding result and a noticeable lifting effect, which apparently pleases our customers. The second one is that it is very easy for the artists to apply a distinct outer line in the first pass, which makes the work much easier.

2. This style is also possible to do in different colors. For this style shades of green and blue are mostly being used.

  1. Also, there is an option of applying a soft eyeshadow without a clear eyeliner adding an arrow or not, such an option is used for a softer and more natural-looking finish.

This technique requires high professionalism and experience in applying the pigment. The pigment should be spread evenly and transparently with a soft blend. Any inaccuracy will be noticeable in the final result. Also, it is hard to fix the sketch on the skin since the outer edge of the liner should remain shaded.

  1. There is also a design with a soft shaded edge above the eyelashes, this natural-looking and exquisite PMU makes your eyes pop but does not look too heavy nor vulgar, this style is appropriate for a client of any age.
  2. It is possible to apply eyeliner in several colors

To apply eyeshadows we use a light pixel pigmentation technique in order to achieve a 3D natural look.

To get such a result, the master needs to use powerful equipment to be able to do fast movements and use a 1 RL needle.

  • As for machines that are suitable for this technique, there are several options for light high-speed machines such as Giant SUN and XCF.
pict-15

Advantages of these machines are:

  • Affordable price (about $ 100-300 as well as a low price of needles and spouts)
  • The possibility of using acupuncture needles, bullet-sharpening of which allows you to work less traumatically
  • Lightness and convenience of holding it in a hand.
  • High operating speed, optimally regulated via an amplifier.

The significant disadvantages are:

  • Not safe to use in terms of hygiene, it is possible to throw pigment with some blood cells in the machine and the plastic parts are not autoclavable and cannot be properly sterilized, this creates a high risk of cross-contamination.
  • Machines are quite fragile and might not last long, they are not subject to effective repair and require regular replacement (every 6-12 months).

The next group of machines is professional high power PMU machines with speed above 200 beats per second.

Popular models are biotech Evo, npm, my style and so on.

Advantages of this equipment are:

  • light handle.
  • Needle speed
  • Disposable cartridges (safe in terms of hygiene)
  • No noise and vibration during operation.

Disadvantages:

  • The price of equipment and cartridges.
  • Not always a great variety of needles
  • No acupuncture needles

Tattoo guns

The advantages of using tattoo guns are:

  • Very powerful
  • Variety of needles of different configurations (single-edged needles, short sharpening, long sharpening, the different diameters of needles up to magnums of sizes from 7 to 80, etc.
  • The price of guns and supplies is affordable.

The disadvantages are:

  • The complexity of setting up the machine requires skills.
  • The complexity of the performance requires skills
  • Strong vibration and noise during operation.
  • A not aesthetic look of the equipment.
