Lesson 3 – Equipment

• Now we will talk about equipment

First and the most important is understand, that for this technique we have to work with POWERFUL devices, which can work with high speed and push the needle out with enough power.

In my opinion there are only two types of machines in pmu which reasonable to use for this technique:

• Any type of tattoo machines :

Coil or rotary

• High quality professional PMU devices with maximum Speed more then 200/per second.

Let me explain why it’s so important for this technique👆🏻🤓

If look at this technique closer, we will see that we are working with Single needle and we know that it goes into the skin very easy, without any resistance because size of the needle is very small and needle goes into the skin like knife in a butter.

That’s why we need super fast movements for control the depth.

When we are working slow, needle have enough time to go deeper and we can’t keep hands 100% stable with the same distance over the skin.

So super fast movements helps master to work ever touching the skin.  

Super-surface and for work with fast movements of course we need high speed of needle going up and down

So when machine is too slow, needle can’t work so quick as we need.

• and one more important moment, device has to be powerful and push needle out strong enough, because with fast movements of our work needle will perforate the skin immediately and implant the pigment just by one touch.

With not powerful devices needle working to slow and soft, there is not enough power to perforate the skin and it looks like not effectively scratching, skin looks reddish but there is no colour in it.

• and good regulation of our work of equipment. If to say simple, it’s about similar length of the needle in every movements, that's why I don’t like to use machines like Giant Sun for this technique, because yes it’s fast and powerful, but there is no perfect regulation and needle working, with different length and it’s impossible to control it, it works on some types of skin, only I can say, that is too damaging and not effectively.
