Contraindications, Side Effects, Complications – Basic course

Since the procedure of permanent makeup involves trauma, it has a number of contraindications, as well as possible side effects and complications.

ABSOLUTE CONTRAINDICATION

- high temperature

- period of exacerbation of any diseases

- diseases with significant blood clotting disorders (thrombopathy, hemophilia).

- insulin-dependent form of diabetes mellitus

- tendency to form keloid scars, keloid and hypertrophic scars in the area of impact

- the period of radiation and chemotherapy in the treatment of cancer

- severe allergic reaction

- epilepsy

- bronchial asthma

- acute pustular rashes in the affected area

- psoriatic rashes in the affected area

- AIDS, HIV, hepatitis

- for the permanent makeup of the lips: herpes in the acute stage

- with permanent eyelid makeup: conjunctivitis.

- severe pregnancy

RELATIVE CONTRAINDICATION

- High blood pressure

- Pregnancy and lactation

- Carrying out the procedure in the first days of menstruation. During this period, bleeding may increase (due to a decrease in hemoglobin) and pain sensitivity.

- Weakening of the immune system, the period of rehabilitation after surgical and cosmetic operations

- The period of taking corticosteroids, strong antibiotics, anticoagulants, and vitamin A. when taking these drugs, the effect of the procedure may be reduced. The color of permanent makeup can be significantly distorted, or even "do not lie down".

SIDE EFFECT

The pain effect depends on the threshold of pain sensitivity and the emotional mood of the client during the procedure. Procedures that involve long-term changes in appearance are always stressful. Pain may increase if the client is tense, scared, or agitated. An experienced specialist with experience in dealing with people will calm the client down or try to just "talk" him, switching his attention to an unrelated topic. The master should eliminate possible irritating factors during the procedure (loud music, unpleasant smell, low temperature, inconvenient location of the body, etc.). Permanent makeup is performed using anesthesia. People are with different degrees of perception of pain, the so-called "pain threshold", with different degrees of patience. The master should not adhere to the principle of "God suffered and told us" and not save on painkillers. Properly selected anesthesia is designed to minimize the pain of the client. Bleeding. Since the depth of penetration of the needle into the skin can not be adjusted, it is possible to damage small vessels during the procedure. Excessive bleeding can be triggered by the use of low-quality and induction machines or improper technique. To reduce bleeding, it is recommended to use anesthetics with hemostatic properties, which have adrenaline in their composition. Bleeding may increase if the procedure is performed during menstruation in women because, during this period, the level of hemoglobin is reduced. Particularly pronounced bleeding is observed in the area of the lips during shading.

Edema-accompanies each micropigmentation procedure to a greater or lesser extent. Normally, it lasts from one hour to two days, depending on the zone of impact. Especially pronounced swelling is observed when working on the eyelids: up to three days, depending on the amount of work. To a lesser extent, on the lips. The area of the eyebrows is rarely edematous. To eliminate edema, there is no need to use tools with decongestant components.

Hematomas. With the right technique, this is a very rare phenomenon, the cause of which is there is the fragility of blood vessels (the presence of rosacea), increased bleeding, as well as the use of epinephrine-or epinephrine-containing drugs that block capillary bleeding, resulting in blood being retained under the skin, forming hematomas. Hematomas on mucous membranes and on the red border of the lips pass without a trace for 24-48 hours, on the skin such hematomas can linger up to 3-4 days. In any case, superficial hematomas do not affect the final result.

Burning or photophobia in permanent eyelid makeup is eliminated by a single application of hydrocortisone ointment or instilling eye drops until the symptoms disappear.

COMPLICATIONS

An allergic reaction to a pigment or anesthetic is a spontaneous protective reaction of the body, accompanied by severe edema, hyperemia, itching, sometimes respiratory depression, edema. In case of an allergic reaction, you must quickly provide first aid, stop the procedure, provide fresh air, give the client antihistamines, lay on a horizontal surface, control breathing, give water. It is very important to be close and call an ambulance if necessary. Allergy is a reversible reaction but can cause serious consequences if you do not take the necessary measures in time.

Posttraumatic conjunctivitis is an inflammation caused by irritation of the edge of the upper eyelid. Often manifests itself not intensely, in the form of itching, burning, and feeling of a foreign body behind the edge of the upper or lower eyelid, but may be accompanied by significant purulent discharge. May pass spontaneously, but it is better to use drops of Albucide 1-2 times a day for three days and eye ointment to relieve the condition.

  • Keloid, hypertrophic and hypotrophic scars arise as a result of a perverted, excessive or reduced response of connective tissue to injury.

Atrophic scars are located below the level of the surrounding skin (sink). Hypertrophic scar is a protruding above the surface of the skin, slightly compacted layer (in the form of a rope), the width of which can vary. Keloids have an elastic consistency, uneven, slightly wrinkled surface, significantly protrude above the surface of the skin. Sometimes they look like warts. Keloid scars are constantly growing-then quickly, then slowly, their growth can be accompanied by itching, burning and pain. As a result of continuous growth, the volume of the visible part of the scar can be several times greater than the volume of its intradermal part. Keloids are not capable of spontaneous regression.

For the treatment of scars, a wide range of methods are used: Buki-therapy,

cryotherapy, surgical excision of the scar, injection of kenalog or diprospan, electro-or phonophoresis of medicines, magneto-laser therapy, various ablative and non-ablative techniques of laser dermatocosmetology.

Each of these methods has a number of positive and negative factors. The most effective method of scar removal today is the method of multi-Invasive collagen Stimulation (MCA) - an absolutely natural way to regenerate damaged tissues, based on the' technique of so-called "dry tattooing" or "dry acupuncture": the impact on the pathologically altered tissue with a needle, as in permanent makeup, but without the introduction of a coloring pigment. Herpes is the most common complication after lip micropigmentation. As a rule, herpes occurs as an exacerbation of a viral infection that is present in the client. Herpes virus is almost incurable and is aggravated by any provoking state of the body, which includes colds, emotional stress, weakened immunity and trauma, as in the case of permanent lip makeup. Itching, burning and herpetic elements (bubbles with serous content) appear on 3-5 days after the procedure, are aggravated during the next week and can lead to the" washing out " of the pigment and the formation of keloid scars. In order to prevent the occurrence of herpes, it is necessary to prescribe anti-herpes drugs a few days before the procedure, which should be continued for 5-7 days after the procedure. It is recommended to apply antiviral ointments, alternating them with healing drugs 2-4 times a day, or use "Acyclovir" according to the scheme: 400 mg x 2 times a day.
