Benefits of microneedling

Micronedling has been popular procedure since early 90’s. It was developed and used by Dr. Desmond Fernandes to treat wrinkles and scars with hypodermic needles.

The mail role of these cells is to communicate between each other. In our skin we have growth factors Cytokines is a signaling molecules released by cells are communicating to other cells.

It is known that 95% of the cells in the epidermis are keratinocytes. Keratinocytes are maintained at various stages of differentiation in the epidermis and are responsible for forming tight junctions with the nerves of the skin. They also keep Langerhans cells of the epidermis and lymphocytes of the dermis in place.

Melanocytes are cells of neural crest origin. In the human epidermis, they form a close association with keratinocytes via their dendrites. Melanocytes are well known for their role in skin pigmentation, and their ability to produce and distribute melanin has been studied extensively.

Fibroblast is a type of biological cell that synthesizes the extracellular matrix and collagen, produces the structural framework (stroma) for animal tissues, and plays a critical role in wound healing. Fibroblasts are the most common cells of connective tissue in animals.

Keratinocytes, Melanocytes and Fibroblas are working to restore healthy and younger looking skin.

  • Keratinocytes –  promotes smooth skin, reduces redness, these cells release growth factors that regulates fibroblast
  • Melanocytes –  shows even skin color
  • Fibroblasts – tight plump skin, dense collagen elastin, and glycosamino production

What microneedling helps with?

  • Wrinkles
  • Scarring
  • Acne
  • Alopecia skin pigmentation issues
  • Stretch marks
  • Rosacea
  • Loose skin

What are the risks after microneedling?

  • Skin irritation
  • Sweling
  • Discomfort
  • Redness
  • Bruising
  • Dryness
  • Flaking of the skin

It is very important to detect what clients are NOT suitable for microneedling. They are usually with an active skin infection, active acne or keloid scarring.

When you choose products to support microneedling always avoid main ingredients in the products that contains parabyns such as:

Propylparaben, butypraben, isobutylparaben, isopropulparaben, methylpareben etc. As well as preservatives: such as citric acid, grapefruit seed extract, formaldehyde quaternium 15, diazolidinyl urea, imidazalidinyl urea, DM hydantoin, denzul, benzyn alcohol.
